- Public Accounts Committee: Special Report No. 88 of the Comptroller and Auditor General: Restructuring the Administration of Student Grants (11 Jun 2015)
Robert Dowds: Does this relate to Abtran receiving payments of €5.9 million for the services provided to March 2013, which was over three times what was originally budgeted, an amount of €1.8 million? That is a huge difference.
- Public Accounts Committee: Special Report No. 88 of the Comptroller and Auditor General: Restructuring the Administration of Student Grants (11 Jun 2015)
Robert Dowds: I have a question for Mr. Ó Foghlú and he may reply to both aspects. Did the Department of Education and Skills use the correct front-line organisation to take charge of this, given the problems with estimates and costs and so on. How did it decide on the City of Dublin Education and Training Board?
- Public Accounts Committee: Special Report No. 88 of the Comptroller and Auditor General: Restructuring the Administration of Student Grants (11 Jun 2015)
Robert Dowds: My final general point is that Abtran as a service provider is obviously very successful at procuring. It is an unlimited company and its...

- Employment Equality (Amendment) Bill 2015: Second Stage [Private Members] (16 Jun 2015)
Robert Dowds: In supporting this Bill, I wish first to praise my former party leader, Deputy Eamon Gilmore. I imagine that when he insisted on this, many people felt that there was no guarantee that it would go through. It is a sign of his far-sightedness that the threshold could be crossed. As...

- Urban Regeneration and Housing Bill 2015: Second Stage (Resumed) (18 Jun 2015)
Robert Dowds: I never realised Deputy Nolan was so influenced by his spell in Germany until I heard him speak today and earlier in the week. He wants to put order on everything. In the case of the housing situation, he is absolutely correct. In welcoming this Bill I see it as an essential part of a major job that must be done. There are some important steps in that job. In respect of Part V provisions...
