Jim O'Callaghan: I do not want to take too much time but wanted to say to Deputy Ó Laoghaire that for section 2(a) to be triggered under the proposed Bill, one would still have to have a conviction for a relevant offence within the period of five years. There would not be a situation where somebody could be refused bail without having been convicted of a relevant offence. That is my assessment.
