Richard Boyd Barrett: Then I agree with some of what you say. The bit I agree with is that under section 52 the elected representatives are allowed issue a direction to the chief executive regarding a housing development strategy.

Richard Boyd Barrett: I have a final point. I do not want to labour this. Regarding the note to be provided to the committee, I ask the Minister to explain precisely the degree to which the public will be made aware that a housing strategy is being developed and to which they will have an ability to input into it and the role councillors will have in putting together the draft strategy.
