Róisín Shortall: So maybe just over the past few years. The State-funded ones were referred to in the report but there are not any figures. For, say, the past ten years, Mr. O'Connell might provide some detail of what ones have been fully funded by the State.

Domestic, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence: Motion [Private Members] (10 Jul 2024)

Róisín Shortall: Domestic, sexual and gender-based violence should never be tolerated but too often it seems that our institutions are set up to do just that. Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health: Childhood Obesity: Discussion (10 Jul 2024)

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health: Childhood Obesity: Discussion (10 Jul 2024)

Róisín Shortall: I think the experience with alcohol has shown that working with the industry only holds you back. The industry has a different priority. The priority of industry is to maximise profits, not to deal with health matters. Experience tells us that the industry should not be involved when it comes to public health considerations.

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health: Childhood Obesity: Discussion (10 Jul 2024)

Róisín Shortall: That is not what I asked, with all due respect. I asked about legislation that was committed to. Clearly, nothing much has been done on the preparation of legislation.
