Unfortunately, ordinary people are suffering as a...

However, we need greater involvement from the Government in...

Jackie Cahill: I commend Deputy O'Loughlin and the joint committee on this report and the recommendations therein. We in Fianna Fáil are calling for the enactment of the recommendations. The ongoing failure to adequately fund the day-to-day running of our schools is having a real and lasting impact on pupils, staff and parents. It is undermining the long-established tradition of free education...

Vote 30 - Agriculture, Food and the Marine (Supplementary) (10 Dec 2019) Jackie Cahill: I want to make a few points to the Minister and his officials. Like Deputy Penrose, I cannot believe this line in the Minister's opening statement: "More specifically, the prudent provision funding on control of horses". The farmer who should have received the payment did not get it. The agent who bought the cattle sold them on using a farmer number, which means that the Department is not enforcing its regulations in respect of dealers.
