Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: General Scheme of the Communications Regulation (Enforcement) Bill: Discussion (23 Feb 2022)

Ruairí Ó Murchú: I accept that. I understand ComReg has to keep watching the situation. Could the committee at some stage get a private briefing?

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: General Scheme of the Communications Regulation (Enforcement) Bill: Discussion (23 Feb 2022)

Ruairí Ó Murchú: We might have gone off on a tangent, but sometimes that can be very useful. Can we deal with the National Cyber Security Centre, NCSC? Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: General Scheme of the Communications Regulation (Enforcement) Bill: Discussion (23 Feb 2022)

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: General Scheme of the Communications Regulation (Enforcement) Bill: Discussion (23 Feb 2022)

Ruairí Ó Murchú: I accept that and I assume the NCSC is obviously within the American defence set-up. It probably does engage in some of this, especially when certain players come on the attack.
