Paddy Burke: Much has been said about how the Garda Síochána has conducted its business in recent years. To give credit where it is due, I congratulate it on how it has combatted crime in recent months and the success it has had in breaking the drug gangs in this country.

Paddy Burke: The way it has conducted itself over recent months is outstanding and I congratulate it. The public should not be afraid to go to the Garda Síochána. Gardaí are the only people we can turn to in our hour of need when there are break-ins, drug crime and so forth. The more people go to them and the more information they have, the better.
