Joint Oireachtas Committee on Education and Social Protection: National Council for Special Education: Chairperson Designate (25 Nov 2015)

Joan Collins: Mr. Stack is very welcome. Many areas have been covered by the other two Deputies. A great deal of good work is being done in respect of looking at the impact of education on children with special needs, including those with various forms of autism. It is a societal issue because as a society we said we would bring these children into mainstream education. Therefore, we must ensure they...

It is not an accident that today is the anniversary of the death of Jonathan Corrie on the doorstep across the road. We in this House should all remember that tragedy. The people who supported the demonstration tonight outside this House...

Equality (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2013 [Seanad]: Committee and Remaining Stages (2 Dec 2015)

Joan Collins: It is quite ironic we have gone through the marriage equality referendum with all the structures put in place for it.
