Seymour Crawford: I want to raise three specific issues. First, thankfully, the industrial development Bill was given to us today. When will it be debated in the House? - Order of Business (17 Dec 2008)
Seymour Crawford: It may not be relevant here but it is certainly relevant to the people of Monaghan. When will the eligibility for health and personal social services Bill be brought to the House? Lastly, in light of the fact farmers in REPS 4 were promised their money last September and are now told they will not get it until the end of January, when will there be a debate on that whole issueââ

- Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 32 (27 Jan 2009)
Seymour Crawford: I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national and local importance, namely, the continuing wind-down of Monaghan General Hospital despite the fact that no alternative arrangements are being made. Both Cavan General Hospital and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda are incapable of dealing with their own patients. Yet the Minister and the...
- Order of Business (27 Jan 2009)
Seymour Crawford: I wish to raise three different issues. I have been raising the issue of the attachment of fines for years. While it has been promised in numerous debates, I note it now has been removed completely from the list of proposed Bills. Can the Taoiseach provide an indication when a similar measure will be introduced to allow money to be collected in a more constructive way? Second, while the...
- Child Protection: Motion (27 Jan 2009)
Seymour Crawford: I congratulate Deputy Shatter on bringing forward the motion. It is a scandal it had to be brought forward but not unexpected when one knows the way our systems work. It is shocking and disturbing to see what these six children have come through, and it is clear they suffered much abuse and many difficulties. Although they were attending school and were out in public, nobody cried stop....
- Child Protection: Motion (27 Jan 2009)
Seymour Crawford: This is not the way the country should be run. It should be run in a hands-on fashion where those who have the right to hold responsibility, take that responsibility. I hold the Minister and Minister of State responsible for what has occurred. It was the lack of leadership and structures in place which led to this situation and it must never occur again.

- Farm Waste Management. (28 Jan 2009)
Seymour Crawford: I thank the Minister for coming to the House. The payment of grants under the farm waste management scheme is an extremely important issue. In spite of a three-hour debate in the Dáil some months ago, the Minister refused to allow time for the people to finish the job, thus putting increased costs and pressures on the farmers concerned to have all the necessary paperwork in by 31 December...
