- Financial Resolution No. 11: General (Resumed) (8 Apr 2009)
James Reilly: I apologise for interrupting the Minister of State, but I must ask the Ceann Comhairle for a ruling. James Reilly: I thank the Minister of State for his amusing discourse, but I will have to comment on one or two things. He said the Taoiseach was trying to be honest this morning, but was he honest when he said the fundamentals were sound at the last general election? He talked about the degree of cynicism in the country, but that has come because his Government has been in office for 18 of the past 20...

Cystic fibrosis occurs in this country with a greater...

James Reilly: What commitments did I make?
- Cystic Fibrosis: Motion (9 Apr 2009)
James Reilly: I wish to address an issue raised by Deputy Tom Hayes. Many people with cystic fibrosis are entitled to a medical card. The recent decision by the Government and the HSE to centralise applications for medical cards is causing chaos. It is to be centralised in Finglas but I am informed that some of it may even be outsourced. There is certainly not the expertise that exists in local areas...
