Aengus Ó Snodaigh: I am not being mischievous. I am merely saying that this is a potential result of this Bill. It will allow for infrastructural developments to be fast-tracked. The Bill talks about an industrial installation for the production of electricity, steam or hot water with a heat output of 300 MW or more. What could produce such an output but a facility such as that mentioned by me?

Aengus Ó Snodaigh: A copy of the employment permit, which amounts to indentured servitude to an employer, is given to the employee, but not the permit itself. It is not a permit that allows somebody to come to Ireland to work, whereby if an employer abuses them they can change to a different employer. It is not a green card as exists in the US and that is what should have been addressed in the Bill.
