John McGuinness: Three or four invitations have issued to Deputy Wallace at this stage. When I met him in the Dáil last night I asked him if he would come before the committee again so that we could have his views on the record.

On the letter received from Mr. Jamie Bryson, the request to him was for written evidence. That is what was being referred to in light of what he had said. We will seek a note from the Department in the first instance, following which we will decide on a date for the meeting on the matter. The clerk will review the work programme to determine on what dates the Department could be asked to appear the committee.
