Dara Calleary: I endorse everything the Minister of State and Deputy Stanton said in regard to the Naval Service. I commend Commander Mark Mellet and everybody involved. Given the role the Naval Service plays in fisheries protection and in drug seizures on an EU basis, is any contribution being made from the EU to the cost of these ships?

Dara Calleary: What projects were deleted from the capital investment list as part of the cutbacks in the capital budget? Investment will be required in several barracks in order to cater for the intake of personnel from the barracks which are to be closed. Has the scope of that work been identified and is there a target date for its completion?
