Christopher O'Sullivan: Is it important that there is a follow-up public awareness campaign to acknowledge the public's efforts and buy-in? We need to get over the winter first, but their efforts have enabled Ireland to get through a winter without blackouts or system alerts.

Is it possible to establish to what degree the reduction in demand from domestic users was down to a simple case of economics and not being able to afford to use the same amount of energy they would have before because it was essentially cost prohibitive?
