Pat Casey: No. 7 on the agenda is an update on Rebuilding Ireland - Action Plan for Housing and Homelessness. Our second topic today is the quarterly update by the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government in respect of the Rebuilding Ireland action plan. The update is on the progress achieved during the first quarter of 2019. I call on the Minister to make his opening statement.

Pat Casey: My questions are specifically on the turnkey developments that both the local authorities and approved housing bodies are purchasing. I have some concerns that there is an over-reliance on it in specific areas because I know of some locations in my area where 100% of construction of housing is being purchased for turnkey developments for either approved housing bodies or the local authority....

Pat Casey: This famous report. It is just a technicality, it mentions the words "ongoing", "on schedule" and "on time" and the colours and the descriptions are all the same. If it is completed there is no need to print it again. Maybe it could just be taken off because it is 42 pages.

Pat Casey: The Minister can see that green signifies "ongoing", "on schedule" and "completed" and brown sometimes signifies "ongoing", "on schedule" and "completed" as well.
