Alan Kelly: If that is the case, it is amazing. The Minister for Health has had discussions with Dr. Scally since then and I have had communications with the Minister for Health. There is a contradiction in this somewhere. Either Dr. Scally is not telling us that he was offered an opportunity or it was refused to him by someone in the HSE.

It is one that his own staff are telling him and of which he was probably made aware in the past 24 hours when he visited Limerick yesterday and returned with Mr. Gleeson to prepare for today. There should be a doctor there. The staff in Limerick need a doctor who can deal with these cases.
