Verona Murphy: In response to Deputy Hourigan, I would not be giving evidence on it as the complaint is that of the association. I was the president at the time and it is the new president who would come before the committee, were there to be an issue.

Verona Murphy: The Department of Transport issued correspondence stating the RSA was a stand-alone entity and that it did not have a remit over it regarding the matter about which we, that is, the Irish Road Haulage Association, were inquiring at the time. That can be clarified by the Department of Transport.
