Brian Stanley: GPs are under huge pressure. You would be reluctant to go near them in winter unless you really need to because you already know that they have a substantial workload. I acknowledge that. Of course, the number needs to be increased because the ratio of GPs per head of population is only a little over half of what we need.

What I would ask is that the Deputy give the witnesses an opportunity to come back with their reply regarding the numbers and that they come back and tell us what they dispute.
