My apologies that some members are not here, but the work will be shared among them. I have a question of clarification. Joint Oireachtas Committee on Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation: Impact of Recession on Low-Paid Workers: Discussion with Mandate (17 Sep 2013)

Damien English: When you say temporary, do you mean a number of years? The argument I got was that we need to make a permanent reduction in the hours required, but you are saying there should be a temporary reduction. Do you mean it should be for a couple of years until we get back to the better times?

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation: Enterprise Ireland Annual Report 2012: Discussion with Enterprise Ireland (23 Jul 2013)

Damien English: I do not think Mr. O'Rourke has left many questions to be asked, as he has answered most things. As an observation, having gone through his background and all the organisations he has been involved in, it is probably just as well that Monaghan do not get to too many Ulster finals and do not win too often, as there would not be time fit it all in. Mr. Ryan is staying for the second session and he might take a question from the Senator at that stage as she has strong views on the entire area. I thank the witnesses for attending. I will make some observations. There is a great opportunity with the local enterprise offices, LEOs. We have...
