Topical Issue Debate: Orthodontic Services (14 Feb 2018)

Peter Burke: I thank the Minister for her response. She spoke about equality of access but it is very hard for me to go back and explain that to the parents of a nine year old who has been waiting over 18 months or to the 21 year old who has been waiting nine years. It does not ring true. The cross-border initiative is used by a lot of people in the State. Unfortunately, it does not suit everyone...

Topical Issue Debate: Orthodontic Services (14 Feb 2018)

Public Accounts Committee: Business of Committee (8 Feb 2018)

Peter Burke: I have listened to the discussion this morning. On top of that, we are talking about bringing in RTÉ and all these sectors. I remember when the head of the Revenue Commissioners appeared before...

Public Accounts Committee: Business of Committee (8 Feb 2018)

In other words, if someone sets up a company structure with only one client, the idea behind which is to minimise a person's tax liability, the Revenue considers that to be perfectly legal as long as the law is complied with regarding expenses and salaries.
