Select Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: Aircraft Noise (Dublin Airport) Regulation Bill 2018: Committee Stage (16 Jan 2019)

Imelda Munster: Deputy Troy has just said the director of services appointed would be independent. Perhaps I misunderstand him. Select Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: Aircraft Noise (Dublin Airport) Regulation Bill 2018: Committee Stage (16 Jan 2019)

Imelda Munster: It is very strange. I would have thought there would be an onus on a Minister to be cognisant of the most up-to-date EU regulation when drafting legislation and, depending on the legislation, to adhere to the most recent EU regulation. Is that not the case?

Promoting Cycling: Motion [Private Members] (19 Dec 2018)

Imelda Munster: I welcome the opportunity to speak on this motion. Sinn Féin is very much in favour of the promotion of all sustainable forms of transport, in particular public transport and cycling. A wider view needs to be taken and all planning initiatives must prioritise public transport and cycling, along with the reduction of private car usage in our cities. These go hand in hand. The best way...

Ceisteanna ar Reachtaíocht a Gealladh - Questions on Promised Legislation (18 Dec 2018)

Imelda Munster: Does the Taoiseach ever take a walk around this city and see people living in tents outside the Garden of Remembrance or sleeping in tents outside shopping centres or just around the corner from the House, on Nassau Street, where one practically has to step over human beings huddled in sleeping bags?
