Pearse Doherty: The Minister stated in the Dáil last week that mortgage interest relief would cost over €700 million. When the Parliamentary Budget Office, which is independent, publishes its numbers, I hope the Minister will apologise in this regard. It is a case of spin and bluster because the reality is that he is leaving these mortgage holders out to dry.
