We all accept this involves companies that have not done due diligence, to use an overused term of mine, as regards Brexit preparations. Vote 31 - Transport (29 Sep 2021) Ruairí Ó Murchú: No. I am looking at this issue because I asked the Taoiseach about it previously and got a general answer. All I want to know is that it is in hand in government and that communications are happening with the necessary stakeholders, including customs on anything it can do, in particular. An Post are engaging but I like to think there is some sort of involvement from the Department.

Vote 31 - Transport (29 Sep 2021) Ruairí Ó Murchú: I appreciate that. We have had the conversation about the NDP and the of current and capital expenditure that has not been used. That is accepting the reality of the world we live in, or have done. We all want to ensure that there will not be significant delays in major capital infrastructure projects. - Ceisteanna Eile - Other Questions: Departmental Reviews (28 Sep 2021)
Ruairí Ó Murchú: Everybody accepts the need to get to the end of this review and that income thresholds need to be looked at. Basically, they need to go up. We have major issues in relation to people who are caught in the poverty trap and cannot afford housing without housing assistance payments. This needs to be dealt with. I spoke to the Minister previously about the assessment situation. There are...

Ruairí Ó Murchú: Deputy Matthews makes a fair point. We also need to take into account, and we all accept the necessity of, the national broadband plan, NBP, roll-out.
