Rose Conway-Walsh: The differentiation of functions is vital. It is an important objective for the success of our higher education sector. We need to do more in this regard, including through reform of the funding model, but we certainly welcome the inclusion of this provision.

Rose Conway-Walsh: I support the amendment for the same reason, that is, the need to deepen the engagement and reshape the manner of the engagement to one of partnership. The higher education sector is not being dealt with in such a way that reflects the partnership that exists, so I feel that the word "partnership" is a better fit for what we are trying to achieve.
