Seán Crowe: The report referred to eligibility and some of the areas which were not covered and remain uncovered. Crohn's disease, coeliac disease and asthma were referred to, as were older people and persons with mental health issues such as schizophrenia, and it was stated that medical card eligibility should be based on medical need rather than specific medical conditions.
