- Business of Dáil (28 Mar 2017)
Ruth Coppinger: I know the Business Committee discussed this but I wanted to put on the record of the House that there is a major national strike taking place in Bus Éireann. The Government may try to pretend it does not have any role in that, but as a major shareholder, it does. The matter has not been discussed in the Dáil and is not on the agenda. - Ceisteanna - Questions: Constitutional Convention Recommendations (28 Mar 2017)
Ruth Coppinger: Of all the referendums in all the world, the one the Taoiseach announced on the flight to the United States was rather funny. - Ceisteanna - Questions: Government-Church Dialogue (28 Mar 2017)
Ruth Coppinger: I want to raise with the Taoiseach the issue of the Catholic orders and the redress scheme. The whole question of how these institutions were run and so on is now a major issue. The report states that by the end of 2015, the...

Ruth Coppinger: -----in Cumann na nGaedheal were in competition with Fianna Fáil: "I will raise you a Censorship of Publications Act" and "I will bid you a Juries Act to top it off." It was a competition between the lads to see who was the most holy and who would give the church the most power.
- Order of Business (28 Mar 2017)
Ruth Coppinger: Could we not just agree the Order of Business while we are here?
- Order of Business (28 Mar 2017)
Ruth Coppinger: If I may make a suggestion; I do not know why we cannot agree. If we are agreeing the Order of Business to be discussed today, and we have the agenda in front of us, we have made a proposal that Government business would become the space in which the Minister would answer questions. I do not see any other way it could be done.

Ruth Coppinger: Because we might have to scrap them, that is why.
- Order of Business (28 Mar 2017)
Ruth Coppinger: I certainly would not have thought that the Government would have the effrontery to think that the Topical Issue debate was an appropriate place to deal with the biggest scandal that has emerged in recent days. The public is outraged. We are talking about a million breathalyser tests being lied about and people paying the price in terms of extra penalty points, wage deductions, etc. The...
