Supply is key, and we can sit here all day and talk about what is happening with Housing for All, Croí Cónaithe and so on, but there are still issues not least with large multiples that have a presence in Ireland. Paul McAuliffe: The purpose of amendment No. 607 is to address concern regarding section 15 of the climate Act, which requires planning authorities and the commission to exercise their duties in a manner consistent with a set of policies and objectives set out in the amendment. Paul McAuliffe: That would be welcome. I am not sure I agree with him that the term "have regard" has a similar strength to "be consistent with". Any basic reading of the wording would suggest that. The idea of the Bill is to make things better. In this case we are trying to maintain the status quo and stop disimproving the situation.
