Gerard Craughwell: I think the Leader will agree that nobody is stopping the traffic on Kildare Street and demanding that this Bill is pushed through the House. Not even the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport is out screaming that it be passed today.

Gerard Craughwell: I am also a member of the commission, and I also welcome this Bill. It provides for important aspects of the running of the House. I particularly welcome the addition of the PBO, which will provide independent budgetary information to Members, and the Office of Parliamentary Legal Advisers.
