Jackie Cahill: There can be a danger to animals, which is not as important as human lives. A significant number of animals have been lost as a result of agitation every year. I would like to get the figures on that. I would say there are two to three fatalities every year with slurry accidents on farms.

Jackie Cahill: I accept the importance of the comfort of the animal but our agenda is to discuss emissions reduction with respect to climate change. I accept the importance of the comfort of the animal, grass quality and quality assurance, but the topic we are discussing is the how the witnesses' technology can reduce emissions.
