Pat Buckley: In October 2016 I submitted two parliamentary questions on flooding in east Cork, predominately Midleton. The Minister of State is probably well aware that in 2015, many areas in east Cork were totally destroyed. The main road from Cork to Waterford was blocked for several weeks. The area I want to speak about specifically is an area in Midleton, namely, Towns Park, Mill Road, Midleton. I...
- Hospital Waiting Lists: Statements (9 Feb 2017)
Pat Buckley: I want to ask the Minister about symphysiotomy. Last Tuesday, a woman in her 80s rang me in tears. She spoke about wanting to end it all. It was very hard to listen to an 80 year old woman crying because she wanted to end her life. The Minister is aware of my background in...

- Select Committee on the Future of Healthcare: Health Service Reform: Dr. Brian Turner (25 Jan 2017)
Pat Buckley: I will be brief. In his opening statement, Dr. Turner mentioned the current funding model, but he also referred to a reallocation of that funding. Will he expand on what he meant by that? Where would he prioritise and reallocate the funding? Would a new bed capacity review be needed to get exactly what we need as an answer for where the system is failing?
