Joint Oireachtas Committee on Climate Action: Energy - Ambition and Challenges: Discussion (Resumed) (8 Mar 2022)

Jennifer Whitmore: I thank Mr. Coyle for his contribution. I have a couple of questions. The wind energy industry frequently raises with me its concerns about grid connectivity and grid capacity. Does Mr. Coyle have concerns about our ambition, planning and progress in terms of developing our grid? Does he believe that we will have the grid infrastructure we require when we need it in order to fulfil our...

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Climate Action: Energy - Ambition and Challenges: Discussion (Resumed) (8 Mar 2022)

Hitting the VAT and tax would have been a...

Vote 29 - Environment, Climate and Communications (Supplementary)
(8 Mar 2022)

Jennifer Whitmore: On that question, is there a requirement on the one-stop-shops in their operating the licence with the Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland, or is there a condition they must target what houses they look at, so it is not just left to the authority to pick the ones that could be relatively cheap and easy to do?
