Fiona O'Loughlin: I will comment briefly and repeat what my colleague said. The fact the number of retirees was 63% more than what was estimated is incredible. The figure was underestimated by over two thirds. The bigger issue, which touches on what Deputy Jan O'Sullivan said, is whether we have a significant number of teachers retiring early. Fiona O'Loughlin: When does the Minister envisage that this will be paid? Is there a risk that the commitment will not be met? In such circumstances, the Department would have paid out money that is not going to be recouped. Are there opportunities to claim ESF moneys on a quarterly basis?
