While the Sláintecare report is viewed differently by different organisations, it was a cross-party report looking at the future of healthcare and offering a ten-year vision for the healthcare system....

Michael Harty: If consultants' pay was equalised and the pay scale increased to €211,000, surely that would be sufficient to attract doctors to come and work exclusively in the public health system.
