Unfortunately the increased funding for childcare has had very little affect on sustainability. One off payments of small amounts whilst welcome at this stage we will take anything, have little impact on our overall budget. WE are still not able to pay professional wages to our staff and will not be able to do so next year. Minister has favoured parents over childcare workers. We will not stand for this much longer. The increased investment has to be used to increase salaries and make services more not less sustainable. I understand the Minister is just learning the job but she must address this issue much more quickly than she has up to now.
