To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht the new measures and investment she is proposing to expand and improve the provision of grassroots sports facilities, in particular to address the significant deficit in the provision of sports and playing pitches, as we approach the budget, and in the aftermath of Ireland's success in the Olympics and Paralympics, and the growing participation of young people, particularly women, in sports; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
