I move amendment No. 4:

In page 3, after line 30, to insert the following:

“Amendment of European Parliament Elections Act 1997

5.The European Parliament Elections Act 1997 is amended—(a) in section 15, by the substitution of the following subsection for subsection (3):

“(3) An area specified in the Third Schedule shall be taken to be that area as constituted on 1 October 2023.”,

(b) in rule 88 of Part XI of the Second Schedule, by the deletion of paragraphs (5) and (6),

and

(c) by the substitution of the following Schedule for the Third Schedule:

“Third Schedule

Section 15

CONSTITUENCIES

Constituency Area	Area	Number of Members
Dublin	The counties of: Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal and South Dublin; and the city of Dublin	4
Midlands-North-West	The counties of: Cavan, Donegal, Galway, Kildare, Laois, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo and Westmeath; and the city of Galway.	5
