We are here today, and it is time to put it in context. The action by Hamas, which I utterly condemn without reservation, did not happen in a vacuum. That has been repeatedly pointed out by various courageous people, no later than today in The Irish Times by a former diplomat who has clearly pointed out that this attack, while condemning it, did not happen in a vacuum.
