There are two fundamental facts the Deputy did not reference. About 2,500 tenant in situ purchases are now progressing at various stages from assessment, sale agreed to closed. That is 2,500 people who have been prevented from going into homelessness by direct intervention and action by the Government. We are building far more social homes than we have in decades. Last year, we provided more than 10,000. This year it will be closer to more than 12,000 social homes provided by the Government, and that is not counting the 2,500 tenant in situpurchases.
