An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business
3:45 pm
Thomas Gould (Cork North Central, Sinn Fein) | Oireachtas source
An elderly lady contacted me. She has stage 4 chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, COPD, and is on constant oxygen. She is going to be evicted in April as a consequence of a decision the Government has taken. The Taoiseach is a doctor. Can he imagine the devastating effects this stress and worry are having on this lady, who needs a walker to get around, who is on oxygen and is going to be homeless in April? Where is the compassion of the Taoiseach and his Government for this lady and many others? I am imploring him now, even at this late stage, to please reverse this decision. Let us work together to find a solution.
