I refer to No. 49 on the Order Paper, the Broadcasting (Amendment) (Protection of Journalism) Bill 2019. Second Stage of the Bill, sponsored by Deputy Cullinane, was taken in the Dáil on Thursday, 7 October 2021. An amendment was tabled by the Government to defer the Second Reading of the Bill and that amendment was agreed to without a division being claimed. However, the question, "That the motion, as amended, be agreed to" was not put forward. Accordingly, I am now putting that question to the House.
