I move amendment No. 1:

To delete all words after "That" and substitute the following:"Dáil Éireann resolves that the Bill be deemed to be read a second time this day twelve months, to allow for the report of the independent research study on familicide and domestic homicide reviews commissioned by the Department of Justice and Equality to be prepared, and to allow for that report to be then taken into account in the consideration of the Bill."

I wish to accommodate Deputy O'Callaghan and the House insofar as I can. With the agreement of the House, I propose changing the word "twelve" in the amendment to "nine" to accommodate Deputy O'Callaghan in view of what he said. Can I propose that amendment?
