To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection when she expects to be in a position to address the issue of pensions for women who leave employment to rear their families and subsequently find themselves without a pension or who may have sufficient contributions but when the current criteria is applied throughout their working life, they have no entitlement to a State pension (contributory); when she expects the new regime to emerge to address these issues; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
