I move amendment No. 2:

In page 7, to delete lines 13 and 14 and substitute the following:

“(c) by the insertion of the following definitions:

“ ‘public-interest entity’ has the meaning given to it by Part 27;

‘Regulation (EU) 2016/679’ means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 20161 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation);”.”.

The amendments in this group are technical. They update the references in the Bill to the Data Protection Acts to take account of the 2018 Act, which was enacted in May and which inserts references to the EU regulation on data protection.
