I move amendment No. 21:

In page 11, line 11, to delete “any” and substitute “the”.

Thisis a proofing amendment to deal with a potential ambiguity in the provision. Section 29D(12) currently provides for an appeals committee to inform the Minister of its final decision on an appeal and, where it allows an appeal, to provide a copy of "any" direction it has issued. However, under the Bill, an appeals committee must always issue a direction when it allows an appeal. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the wording in this provision to refer instead to "the direction" rather than "any direction".
