Social Welfare Payments Waiting Times

It has come to my attention that those waiting for decisions on carer's allowance and domiciliary care allowance paymentds can wait for anything between nine and 18 months for them. My question is about the number of persons waiting for such decisions and the length of time involved. Will the Minister make a statement on the matter?
