A Programme for a Partnership Government commits the Government to have full regard to any new evidence which emerges which is likely to definitively establish the cause of the fire at the Stardust. I understand from media reports that this matter was discussed this morning at Cabinet and that the report of retired judge Pat McCartan was considered. It is also my understanding that the report rejects a commission of investigation. Sinn Féin supports a commission of investigation and I think that is important. Will the Taoiseach confirm that this matter was discussed? Can he update us on the status of those discussions, what the conclusion is and when exactly the families will receive a copy of the report? I note the Minister for Justice and Equality is here. Perhaps he might indicate if he is willing to meet with the families to give this full consideration?
