Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 29A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Martin Kenny - ongoing delays in making 2016 GLAS payments; (2) Deputy John Lahart - the recent Church of Scientology opening at Firhouse Road in south Dublin; (3) Deputy Tom Neville - Newcastlewest Garda station, County Limerick; (4) Deputy Aindrias Moynihan - the need for new secondary school for De La Salle College, Macroom, County Cork; (5) Deputy Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire - to discuss the contact centre at Togher family centre; (6) Deputy Brian Stanley - the delays with a decision on 24-hour emergency service at the Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise; (7) Deputy Brendan Smith - the need to provide upgraded and additional facilities at the emergency department, Cavan General Hospital; (8) Deputy Clare Daly - to discuss the need to review the pyrite remediation scheme; (9) Deputy Martin Ferris - the provision of Kuvan for PKU sufferers; (10) Deputy Mick Wallace - the need to ring-fence all State land currently available throughout Ireland for social and affordable housing; and (11) Deputy Dessie Ellis - the possible closure of the Glasnevin Avenue post office.

The matters raised by Deputies Tom Neville, Brendan Smith, Mick Wallace and Martin Kenny have been selected for discussion.
