That he would use ten minutes to eulogise a judge and then complete this eulogy by saying that we really need appropriate legislation, captures for me precisely why Governments get away with what they get away with. Government has the power to do what it wants because the so-called Opposition is not Opposition at all. What Deputy Howlin completely ignored, as has the Government, is that the legislation exists. We do not need new legislation. We do in terms of the general reform of the system but not in relation to the appointment on an Attorney General.
