The substantive issue that led us to this motion was and is the Government's poor handling of Mr. Justice O'Neill's report and the recommendations contained therein. Sinn Féin's reaction was quite predictable, in so far as it sought to manufacture a means to politicise the issue and do as much political damage as possible, not just to the Government, but to Fianna Fáil, when it saw that opportunity arise.
