I note the vote in the House of Commons and that the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Deputy Flanagan, is meeting the Secretary of State, James Brokenshire. I assure Deputy Adams that I made it perfectly to the British Prime Minister when I spoke to her originally and more recently in Dublin that the Good Friday Agreement is absolutely central and sacrosanct, as are the votes of the people, North and South. This issue will be a clear priority for us in all of this. We want to see the Good Friday Agreement continue and its successor agreements implemented in full. This is an issue on which we will negotiate hard from a European perspective to see that it continues as a central issue in the negotiations when they commence.
